Another day in the beach paradise. Well, it's weekend again. People sure love the beach so much for their leisure treat over the weekend. Early in the morning, I saw a few families visited Pantai Remis with their kids played with the sand. Pantai Remis is a muddy beach fulled of seashells on its sandy beach. There are many big rocks along the sea shoreline. Those rocks are beach erosion control. I arrived very early in the morning at the Pantai Remis. From Kuala Lumpur, it took only 1 hour 07 minutes.

Without any further delay, I've jumped to the beach and enjoying beach plogging of the day. Surprisingly I'm not alone to clean up the beach. You know who was with me? A cat. Don't you believe me that a cat was following me for beach plogging today? Yay! it was exciting for me as regularly I was doing it solo and accompanied by Amelia (the photographer). A special guest joined me today. So I called her #manjathecat because she was very manja to me.

First observation, I found that people who came to this beach very much into smoking. They threw a lot of cigarette butt in all over the beach area. I always noticed that starting from the parking area there was many trashes even you can see it was just near to the trash bin. I think the problem it isn't about the trashes but it is about the mentality of our society. The mentality of society is the most challenging part of understanding the root of this issue. In my opinion, the last resort of overcome this issue is by education and awareness, how important to conserve our ocean and environment from plastic trashes. Do you know that plastic takes 450 years to dispose? So make a comparison on the lifespan of a human being, 70-80 years. It will take forever until the next generations after us.

It was really a fruitful beach plogging as I met with a group of volunteers from PowerShiftMalaysia and Reefcheck. I joined their beach cleanup programme randomly after I have done with my beach plogging activity. They are an awesome group of volunteer who made an extraordinary teamwork by cleaning Pantai Remis beach from trashes. Definitely, I felt so great because we have the same mission to reduce plastic trash from polluting our ocean and endangered marine wildlife.
